Welcome to the Los Angeles Basin Geological Society

The Los Angeles Basin Geological Society is comprised of individuals who share an interest in the geology of the Los Angeles Basin.  Members come from many geologic disciplines and specialties including petroleum, environmental, engineering, mining, hydro, seismic and academic areas of geologic interest.  The LABGS is run by volunteers with most of its members living or working within the basin.  If you are interested in becoming a member, attend one of our meetings or go to the membership section on this web site to find more information.
